Put fun with food on the menu this summer holiday

Budding young chefs in Exeter are being given the chance to roll up their sleeves, put on their aprons and show off their culinary skills at Fun Kitchen cookery workshops.

During the summer holidays children aged between eight and fourteen, are being invited to cook up a selection of scrumptious treats and mouth-watering dishes in the Fun Kitchen at St Peter's Church of England School, Exeter. ​

To fit around parents' busy working lives, children can be can dropped off from 8.30am with an entertaining and fun-filled day of cookery activities going on until 5.30pm.

Food teacher Joe Mann said: "Whether a child is crazy about baking cakes, potty about pies and pastry, or simply bonkers about bread, I want to give them the skills, knowledge and confidence to enjoy making their own great tasting food."

You'll be making your own lunch, creating some tasty bakes, plus grown ups will love that you'll be making a family dish to take home at the end of the day!

Just bring yourselves - Fun Kitchen provide ingredients, recipe cards to take home and use of aprons and chef hats.

Sessions are open to all levels and ability so no one will be left out. Workshops are held in a dedicated teaching kitchen at St Peters School, Quarry Lane, Exeter,EX2 5AP on 12,13, 19 and 20 August.
