Best Kept Village is a long-established county-wide competition run by the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) and sponsored by Mole Valley Farmers.

Paignton Zoo and Bays Brewery have teamed up to launch a brand new ale to help raise money for conservation. And they’re inviting people to enter an online competition to give it a name.
Pete Salmon of Bays Brewery explained: “We produced a special ale for The Great Gorillas Project in 2013 and a rhino ale this summer. They were both successful, so now we’re doing another – and this time the theme is giraffes.”

This weekend Exeter’s canal basin will become the home to the UK’s first artificial climbing wall on water!
A 7 metre high structure is being built on a canal barge and will be floated into the water to provide the wall for the UK’s first inland deep water solo competition.
