Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale was pleased with his side’s battling qualities after a goalless draw against Aldershot on Saturday afternoon.
On a pitch that had suffered in the winter months, the playing surface wasn’t ideal for a free-flowing game and that hampered City’s opportunities to pass the ball around on the deck. And with the Grecians kicking towards the Away Terrace in the first half – with the sun glaring into their eyes when they attacked – the environment didn’t favour City in the opening period. “It was incredibly difficult conditions, we played against 11 very tough...
Grecians manager Paul Tisdale has confirmed that the ankle injury which Liam Sercombe sustained against Barnet will result in a sustained period on the sidelines.
The midfielder, who scored his first of the season against Plymouth last month, had to be helped off the field just after half-time against the Bees after taking a heavy blow.

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale was pleased to end a three game losing streak as he saw his side come from behind to draw away to Dagenham and Redbridge. Top goal-scorer Jamie Cureton’s second-half goal cancelled out Medy Elito’s by-line strike to put an end to the Grecians' 300 minutes without victory.
The Grecians' manager said: “I’m very pleased with the way we played, we had a bit of a poor patch and we knew it would be a very competitive game here.
“The game was so high tempo and erratic and the players responded very well and were competitive....
