Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education has announced exciting plans to build a new world class Deaf Academy on the former Rolle College campus in Exmouth. The ground-breaking new Academy buildings will be designed with deaf people for deaf people and will be the international blueprint for deaf education and residential care.

Police launch investigation into deaf academy

Police are investigating allegations over the way people are cared for at Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education.

It follows claims made by a whistleblower.

Police confirmed they were involved in the investigation.

Exeter Deaf Academy celebrates cultural diversity

Students and staff from across the Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education have had an action packed week learning about different cultures and raising awareness of deafness as part of Cultural Diversity and Deaf Awareness Week.

Interserve to embark on two cycle rides in aid of ERADE

Wednesday 30th April will see approximately 40 Interserve employees embark on a 51 mile cycle ride.

Interserve, the international support services and construction group, are helping to raise vital funds for the Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education by embarking on a 51 mile office to office cycle challenge. The route will start at their Plymouth office in the Royal William Yard and complete at the company’s regional head office in Exeter.

Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education, SignUp BSL and Deafinite Interpreters are calling for everyone to support an online campaign for Sign Language Week from 17 – 21 March. The exciting BSL (British Sign Language) Celebration Week campaign, running across social media, encourages people to learn how to introduce themselves and communicate their name in sign language and then film it and share it online.
