Exeter Deaf Academy students will be teaching British Sign Language (BSL) and Deaf Awareness to schools, residential homes and shoppers in Exmouth and Exeter.
Activities include College students teaching Deaf Awareness to visitors in Princesshay shopping centre in Exeter, to staff parachuting 15,000 ft from a plane for a brave fundraising challenge in East Devon.

A new eye clinic for homeless people has opened in Exeter.
The clinic, which is led by a team of volunteers, is located at Clock Tower Surgery in Wat Tyler House which brings together some 25 services for homeless and vulnerable people.
Set up by the charity, Vision Care for Homeless People, it has been made possible by support from the Local Optical Committee, a team of volunteer optometrists, donations from Specsavers and Bills Opticians which will provide the glazing of spectacles. To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, East Devon District Council's Countryside team has put together a walk to lift the mood and encourage people to spend time outdoors and explore the beautiful countryside.
The team helps to maintain the South West Coast Path for walkers to enjoy, in partnership with a number of other organisations and land owners, and countryside ranger, Dave Palmer has developed the three and a half mile walk from Beer Head car park to Branscombe. The walk takes in the spectacular views and stunning scenery along the Jurassic coast.
