Human rights campaigning organisation Liberty is concerned that Exeter City Council’s proposed Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) will criminalise the city’s most vulnerable people.

Research by the housing and homelessness charity Shelter has revealed that approximately 19,000 renters were put at risk of eviction in the last year - equivalent to over 350 renters per week.
The new analysis, which uses Ministry of Justice figures, showed that 1 in every 86 rented households in the South West have been put at risk of losing their home.
