Kitley House Hotel is celebrating winning Gold and Silver in the prestigious Devon Tourism Awards 2019. The four* hotel was delighted to win Gold as ‘Wedding Venue of the Year’ against stiff competition from other leading businesses, and also scooped Silver in the ‘Business Events Venue’ category.

Plymouth based company, BAM Bamboo Clothing, and the University of Exeter have joined forces to address the issue of sustainability in fashion.

The Business School at the University of Exeter has global recognition for its study of Circular Economy: essentially an economy that aims to eliminate waste and encourage the continual use of resources.

45 MBA students at the University’s Business School were set a 48 Hour Design Challenge to come up with some radical, workable solutions for BAM to integrate into their Circular Economy business strategy.

Stagecoach South West have released their Christmas and New Year bus schedule detailing services over the holiday season.

To coincide with the start of late night shopping in Exeter, Stagecoach South West will be offering a '5 for a fiver' ticket, allowing five people to enjoy return travel on the Honiton Road Park and Ride for just £5 on Thursdays. Services will run from Exeter city centre to the Park and Ride until midnight, enabling people to make the most of the festive fun on offer in the city centre.

MTV today announced that it will be turning up the volume for Plymouth as it returns to host a series of live music events, panels, workshops and talks across one unforgettable week this summer. Bring on MTV Music Week Plymouth 2019!

A charity helping suicide bereaved families can reach even more people in Devon after a successful Crowdfunder campaign was supported by police and the county council.

Pete’s Dragons has smashed a £3,000 target as it bids to extend into Plymouth and South Devon – where its much-needed specialist services do not exist.

The funding will also aid the cause, which currently has a caseload of around 300 people, in continuing its work in East, Mid and North Devon.

An Earth observation company and ecommerce gift business have won this year’s Fast Track to Growth programme.

Pixalytics won the smaller company category, with House of Harris winning in the larger company category, at a final pitch event at Plymouth Science Park, the culmination of an intensive free business support programme for more than 20 Devon businesses.

Two site managers for Exeter-based property developer, Burrington Estates New Homes, have received the prestigious Pride in the Job Award by the NHBC (National House Building Council) in recognition for their outstanding performance to the construction industry.

Gary O’Gorman, Site Manager at Notre Dame in Plymouth, has been recognised for his efforts on the premium development of just six luxury homes. Plymouth Hospitals Trust has been praised by the National Deaf Children’s Society after it received a prestigious accreditation for its children and adult audiology services last week.

This means that all children’s audiology services across Devon and Cornwall are now accredited, and are among the best services in the country for deaf children and their families.
