Girls at The Maynard School in Exeter got into the spirit of things to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday on Thursday.
Everyone dressed for the day in red, white and blue and, following a quick assembly, great fun was had by all in making the number 90 on the tennis courts outside the main school building.
In this formation, they even managed a quick rendition of ‘Happy Birthday to You’ followed by a solo saxophonist playing a very poignant national anthem before returning to their classrooms.
Celebrations will be in full swing on Ladies’ Night at Exeter Racecourse this year which beautifully coincides with Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday on Thursday, April 21. Finest outfits are the order of the day as judges walk around the racecourse to select the finalists for the coveted Best Dressed Lady and Best Dressed Gentleman competitions.
