England ace Jack delivers tips to Saracens

England and British & Irish Lions star Jack Nowell made the dreams of young Exeter rugby players come true by making a special guest appearance at a training session – thanks to Selco.

After opening a new branch in the city last year, we arranged for Jack to offer tips and advice to two junior teams at Exeter Saracens.

The Rugby Players Association (RPA) has launched its new Premier 15s membership offer for the 2022/23 season.

A new sponsorship deal for Honiton Rugby Football Club for 2023 has been announced by Westcotts, the South West’s leading firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers.

At Twickenham Stadium last weekend, Rheanna White and Holly Feller from Barnstaple, Devon joined 48 other inspiring female referees to mark the launch of a new campaign with the aim of attracting more female officials to the sport.

Brought together by The Rugby Football Union (RFU) and ACME Whistles ahead of the clash between England Men and Japan, the 50 referees surrounded the national flags on the pitch, alongside the players and dignitaries during the national anthems, in front of the 81,000 strong crowd.

Referee Emily Willett from Coalville, Leicestershire, was this week nominated by the RFU as the third referee who will join 49 other inspiring female officials at Twickenham this November – all to inspire more women into refereeing.

University of Exeter student and rugby union star signs up as charity ambassador to educate young men about the dangers of testicular cancer

A professional rugby union player who is studying at the University of Exeter will be taking on another role in education after signing up to support a testicular cancer charity. Kitan Ojo, who is in the senior academy squad at Harlequins, has secured the role of university ambassador for The OddBalls Foundation and from the autumn term will be helping the organisation to encourage men to check themselves for signs of the disease, the most prominent form in males aged 15-49.
