Exeter Racecourse’s stunning River Room will be transformed into a wedding breakfast for 40 guests for two weeks during August, enabling brides-to-be to get a taste of what it would be like to have a wedding on Haldon Hill.
The room will be fully laid out with cutlery, crockery and glassware plus chair covers, swags, table decorations and lighting to give the wedding party some ideas for their big day.
The open weeks are in conjunction with Cover Cupboard who have their unit at the racecourse.

A couple in South Devon were delighted to be able to bring a taste of the tropics to their recent wedding with the help of their local National Trust property.
The bride, who is from Ecuador, really wanted a banana leaf in her bridal bouquet as the plant reminded her of her homeland and therefore had huge sentimental significance. Her florist Linsay Johns searched high and low for a suitable leaf with no success and, on the day before the wedding, approached National Trust’s Overbeck’s in desperation.
Exeter photographers Evolve is holding a one-day charity photo day at Bickleigh Castle near Tiverton in Devon. Ten places are available on this one day photographic workshop aiming to help budding photographers improve their skills and further their portfolios. The event, which is free to attend, promises to be a one-stop shop for anyone planning a wedding, with advice available from professionals involved in making a wedding day a memorable occasion.
Specially trained staff from a variety of bridal and occasion wear boutiques across the south-west will also be on hand to give help and advice on the dresses.
