Princesshay Square will be transformed into an outdoor cinema for one weekend only this summer. Princesshay will host three free family film screenings on their giant screen in Princesshay Square.
Friday 21st July, 4pm – The Lego Movie
Saturday 22nd July, 4pm – The Greatest Showman
Sunday 23rd July, 2pm – Paddington
These events will be free to attend in Princesshay Square and require no booking.
Lloyds Lounge will also be running their pop-up bar including popcorn!
Multi-award winning Cygnet Theatre is celebrating a phenomenal forty years of its acting training and drama school. To mark the occasion, they are staging the Cygnet Dream Festival, launched with the help of a celebratory cake baked in the shape of a swan.

Princesshay have a free family event on 22nd September in celebration of bees. The event includes artwork, family workshops and tours from 10am to 4pm to celebrate the centre’s rooftop garden, home to thousands of bees.
The event will unveil a brand-new, temporary art installation representing flowers loved by bees and created by aptly-named artist, Bee Watson. Visitors can also join in with a free family craft workshop and make paper flowers to add to the installation. There will also be a rare opportunity to tour the bee garden hidden above the city on Princesshay’s roof....

Join us for a special day of milling in celebration of National Mills Weekend, with family friendly wild crafts, bug hunting, nature trails and refreshments!
The historic mill comes alive as the waterwheel starts turning and volunteer millers show the traditional methods used for grinding grain.
Visitors will be given the chance to take part in milling demonstrations that will run from 10.30am – 12.30pm and 1 – 3pm. Cricklepit Mill’s wildlife garden will also be open for visitors to explore and family activities will run throughout the day.
Enjoy appearances by Cotley Farm’s reindeer, carol singers and Elsa from Frozen. Elsa will be judging the Exeter bauble decorating competition, and children will get the chance to hang their bauble from one of our locally grown trees.
