Devon Wildlife Trust is inviting families to ‘bee creative in the garden’ at a special wild bee family fun day next week. On August 3, the charity will be opening the gates to the Cricklepit Mill wildlife garden for a family event that aims to celebrate bumblebees and solitary bees, heroes of the pollinator world. Children will have the chance to create a range of bee themed craft items, including alder bees to hang in the garden, bee mobiles, badge making and bee jewellery. One of Exeter’s best patches for wildlife will be open to the public this Sunday for a special open garden event near the quay.
On June 25, Devon Wildlife Trust’s Cricklepit Mill gardens will be open from 11am – 3pm. Join the Cricklepit Garden Group for exclusive tours around the garden, fun nature trails and bug hunting.

In just over two weeks, hundreds of farmers from across the country will be taking part in the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust’s (GWCT) Big Farmland Bird Count.
