Exeter and District Mencap Society’s Carol Service
The annual Exeter and District Mencap Society’s Carol service will be held at South Street Baptist Church on Sunday 9th December at 6.30pm.
The carol servcie will be followed by refreshments.
The Exeter and District Mencap Society supports those with a learning disability treating each as a valued member of society together with their families and carers. It is a continuous, big task performed by big hearted people who demonstrate a wonderful and patient care. They enable people with learning difficulties to make their own contribution to life. Indeed, at the carol service they will be doing the readings, playing the music and leading some of the prayers. The service is friendly and informal and suitable for those who have learning difficulties.
South Street’s Baptist Minister Simon Taylor commented “I feel it is such an enormous privilege to host this carol service for those linked with Mencap in Exeter. We have enjoyed planning it with them and know it will be a really joyful retelling of the Christmas story”.
The Exeter and District Mencap Society together with South Street Baptist Church offer a big hearted welcome to this unique and happy event.
