Calling all little linguists! A local language company are offering young babies and toddlers the chance to start learning Spanish with the help of Caramelo a cute little bear or "osito" in Spanish.

Kieron and Jeanna Skinner from Lingo Stars are offering their new Hola Caramelo Spanish activity sessions for babies and toddlers from 10th January at the Hub On The Green, in Exeter. The sessions are run in association with La Jolie Ronde, the leading provider of early language education in the U.K. with 30 years experience in providing language programmes for young children.

Lingo Stars teach Spanish to children at after school clubs throughout the Exeter area, and are excited to be offering their new and unique sessions to families with even younger children. Kieron and Jeanna are both fully fluent in Spanish and lived in Spain for 13 years. They have two young children who were born in Spain who also speak Spanish. They have a wealth of knowledge about the Spanish language, culture and way of life are passionate about teaching. They are also fully trained in the La Jolie Ronde method and have complete and up to date Enhanced Disclosure and Barring checks (formerly CRB).

"The Hola Caramelo programme from La Jolie Ronde is an amazing way for parents and carers to introduce their child to Spanish at a very young age. The sessions work in much the same way as other baby/toddler music, sing and sign or drama groups with lots of fun, songs, rhymes, play and crafts but have an added benefit of giving a child a skill for life and an wonderful basis for further language learning," says Jeanna, "research has shown that very young babies and children have the ability to distinguish and learn all the different sounds used in every worldwide language, and that the earlier a child is exposed to another language the quicker they can learn."

Each Hola Caramelo session will be 30 minutes long, costs only £3.50 per session and also provides a fantastic opportunity to make friends for both parent/carer and child.
