Sci-fi day beams into Exeter Phoenix!
It Came From Planet Exe will be beaming into Exeter Phoenix this Saturday, 11 July, between 11am–4pm, and looks to be a very exciting day out for all ages!
If you like Doctor Who, Star Wars and superheroes then this is the day for you.
Event organiser Lee Rawlings says: “This convention is open to everyone who loves the world of sci-fi, fantasy, superheroes, comics, films and TV. We have everything from top quality merchandisers and dealers; special guests from the worlds of TV, film and books; costumers; live music; games; prizes; and lots more surprises! Ideal for the family or for those grown ups who know their Dr Dooms from their Daleks.”
Special guests are being lined up for the day which will include meet-and-greets and signings.
Barnaby Edwards, Nicholas Pegg and Jon Davey have all appeared in Doctor since 2005 as Daleks and other various alien races. Local actor Julian Lee Seager says: “I myself have appeared in over 50 TV shows and films including Doctor Who and Guardians of the Galaxy and I love meeting people at these events. It’s great we have an event like this right in the heart of Exeter, my home town!”
International bestselling author Andrew Lane will be signing copies of his ‘Young Sherlock Holmes’ and ‘Lost Worlds’ books. The books will be supplied by Crediton Community Bookshop.
Live Music will be provided by the incredible Samba Marcianas, guitarist Karl Zumar and pianist Finn Talisker, with sci-fi tunes in-between from Phonic FM’s ‘Sound and Vision’ DJs.
Be prepared to bring your cameras and have photos taken with characters like Darth Vader, Doctor Who monsters and even an 8’ Warhammer warrior! Planet Exe positively encourages you to dress up and we guarantee you will not look out of place!
