Award-winning artist and pupil of Robert Lenkiewicz, Nahem Shoa will explore the work of a number of artists in Detached and Timeless, including Bomberg, Lanyon, Heron and Clough. Exploring the different approaches used by them in conveying the landscape of the Southwest, he will build bridges between their paintings and other masters of the history of art. He will also discuss why, for British artists, the Southwest has been seen as a kind of paradise. Followed by Q&A session with Nahem and exhibition curator Martin Thomas.
