May Half-term family fun at Exeter Cathedral
Exeter Cathedral is promising fun for families this half term, with activities from making a stained glass window to brass rubbing.
A number of ‘Imagination-stations’ will be set up in the Chapter House over the May School Holiday.
Each station will have a different activity available, including making a ‘stained glass window’ from shrink plastic, brass rubbing and dressing up.
Family explorer backpacks will also be available. The backpacks are perfect for families exploring the Cathedral as they help families to spot the things in the Cathedral that captivate and engage children. There are 6 different themed backpacks – including the owl bag and the elephant bag and they include books, toys, puzzles and puppets for families to enjoy. Backpacks are free to borrow on a first-come first-served basis.
Admission charges apply to all activities (£6 adult, £4 concessions, children free) and there is a £1 charge to take part in activities in the Chapter House (tickets will be available at the front desk on the day).
Activities will run on Bank Holiday Monday, Tuesday 28th and Friday 31th May and are suitable for children aged 4-12.
