Herbert Read set up his ecclesiastical woodcarving business in 1888, in Sidwell Street. The inheritor of the Read family business is Hugh Harrison who will be presenting his talk about The Read Family, to Friends of Higher Cemetery on Thursday 19th June. Following the talk, in the cemetery chapel, there will be a visit to the Read family grave.
Adult entry is £4, £2 for FoHC members, £1 for accompanied children under 16.
