Staff and volunteers at A la Ronde are busy putting the finishing touches to the ‘A la Ronde’s Got Talent’ exhibition, which takes place 1-12 March.

The National Trust property at Summer Lane, Exmouth is well known for its extraordinary collection of arts and crafts works by Jane and Mary Parminter, the founder cousins of this remarkable sixteen-sided house. The legacy of creativity continues to this day as the A la Ronde team showcase their talents to visitors.

The exhibition contains items crafted in a variety of mediums submitted by about twenty staff and volunteers who work within the house, shop and garden teams. Property Assistant, Lesley Strong said: ‘The house continues to attract creative talent and is an endless inspiration for new work. This is the second exhibition by the staff and volunteers and it is amazing to see the diversity and quality of work produced by our talented team’.

Visitors to A la Ronde will be able to see the extraordinary feather frieze and shell gallery both of which were created by Jane and Mary Parminter on their return from a grand tour of Europe in 1796. There are also many examples of their papercuts, decoupage and mosaic work.

A la Ronde is open daily from 1 March to 2 November and entry to the exhibition which runs in the stable from 1 to 12 March is free.
