Olly Murs at Powderham Castle
Powderham Castle are delighted to be hosting Olly Murs at Powderham Castle on 7 July.
Lawson are Olly's special guests along with Diana Vickers, Charlie Brown and Joywride at the outdoor concert.
Since becoming runner-up in 2009’s series of The X-Factor, singer-songwriter Olly Murs’ double-platinum-selling debut album, reached #2 in the UK Album Chart upon release in 2010, and secured two Top Five places in the UK Singles Chart. Subsequent hits have come one after another, including the #1 singles Heart Skips a Beat and Dance with me Tonight from Olly’s second album, In Case You Didn’t Know, which hit the #1 spot in the UK Album Chart and marked a progression of his distinctive sound towards a modern example of old-school, Classic Soul and rock ‘n’ roll. The album was certified ‘platinum’ the following month
Olly’s third and most recent album, Right Place Right Time – released in November last year – became the fastest selling male solo album of 2012 in the UK and went straight to #1 in the UK Album Chart, with the lead single Troublemaker – featuring Flo Rida - reaching the #1 spot in the UK Singles Chart, meaning Olly held the top spot in both charts at the same time.
