The Pirates of Penzance
The charity Send a Cow is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Since it began in a Lapford farmhouse all those years ago over one million people in Africa have been helped to work their way out of poverty for good.
As part of the celebrations, professional touring opera company, Opera Anywhere, are presenting a performance of The Pirates of Penzance, in the hangar at Eggesford Airfield, near Chulmleigh with a chorus drawn from the surrounding area.
It should be a really good evening and you are invited to bring a picnic from 5.30pm so you can enjoy the fabulous views from the airfield before going into the hangar for the performance at 7.30pm. There will be a bar and delicious Devon ice-creams on sale.
