“Imagine someone told you a story, a story so real, so detailed that that story became your world, and your world, no matter how small, became a part of that story. The narrative of this story has power over your life. It’s future. Your future.”

After a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe, New Model Theatre bring their critically acclaimed show Static to the Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter.

“A clever script, with a sterling performance. Phenomenal talent.” The Guardian

Static brings together brilliant storytelling with verbatim news reports to tell a coming of age story that spans a decade. From watching the World Trade Centre fall live on television to the top of Tory HQ in 2010’s summer of discontent; through talking to girls at drunken teenage parties and coming home with bloody noses.

Written partly in response to the student demonstrations of recent years, it asks what it takes for a generation so comfortable interacting from behind a screen to open their doors and get out on the streets.

New Model Theatre create fast paced, exciting theatre for a modern audience. Static is NMT’s second show and toured to Exeter, Manchester, Camden and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals in 2013.

Tickets £12/8 Concessions. £5 Tuesdays. Get two free tickets for this or any other show if you buy a Membership.
