Rosa, 15, naive, privately educated, has lost her mother; her father has lost his house and business. Leaving behind a life of ease, they find themselves in cheap rented accommodation with a reclusive new neighbour - Candy, late 30s, webcamming in her bed-room; £3.50 a minute, 20 punters a night.

Unexpected life lessons are about to be learnt.

Streaming looks at the normalising of internet porn and the sexual objectification of women. It explores a cultural mismatch between a middle-class father and daughter, used to choice and privilege, and one with no choices. It’s a story of paternal failure, unlikely friendship and unexpected self-sacrifice.

The play uses knife-sharp, witty dialogue, evocative sound design, moments of fleeting, macabre puppetry, and a shape-shifting set, where walls become veils and the private becomes public.

‘Streaming’ is shot through with distorted ‘Wizard of Oz’ echoes - a dark, touching and quirky portrait of three people trying to preserve their humanity in a dehumanising world, in search of ‘home’.
