A break-up sped up by a mythbeast. Sad sitcom turns into drunk circus.

Waist is a new play about kebabs, satyrs, and not being alone, from a Royal Court Young Writer who has been shortlisted for the RSC Other Prize.

‘capturing a youthful ennui with scathing accuracy…really does embody that oft-trumpeted spirit of the fringe.’ The Independent.

‘Tom Fraser is mesmerising as the mythological half-man, half-goat and, through Parker Rees’ boisterous and lyrical dialogue, he vividly describes the creature that we, the audience, eventually, willingly and wholeheartedly become.’ The Scotsman.

A FringeReview Number One Pick.

Live Beasts are winners of the IdeasTap Innovators Award. We like to make work for lively audiences — it makes us try harder, and no one gets left out.
