Students from Exeter College have been celebrating success following the National BTEC Awards 2019.

A total of nine Exeter College students were recognised at an awards ceremony that took place in Westminster in July. The event celebrates exceptional BTEC students and apprentices while also shining a light on the inspirational teachers who have influenced their learning.

Devon flood protection schemes win ICE South West awards

Two Devon flood protection projects, which were engineered to protect communities and rail services, have both scooped awards at the Institution of Civil Engineers South West (ICE South West) awards ceremony.

The ‘Collaboration Award’ was given to a project that has reduced flooding risks for over 650 properties in the communities of Starcross and Cockwood, located on the shores of the Exe Estuary.
