Appeal following daytime burlgary in Exmouth
Police are investigating after a burglar struck at an Exmouth house while the occupants were at home.
The offender walked in through the front door of the property in New North Road on Thursday 4th February, while the family was upstairs and stole a handbag.
The blue denim Kipling bag contained a distinctive apple green coloured Ted Baker purse which has a faint scratch on the front. As well as cards and cash, the bag contained an umbrella and a set of keys.
Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen suspicious individuals or activity in the road between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.
Officers are also asking neighbouring residents to check their gardens in case any of the stolen items have been dumped by the offender.
