Your guide to What's On this weekend
Your essential guide to What’s On in and around Exeter this weekend (13-15 April):
THEATRE
The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk
Friday & Saturday, Exeter Northcott
Meet Marc and Bella Chagall! The flying lovers of Vitebsk! Partners in life and on canvas, Marc and Bella are immortalised as the picture of romance. But whilst on canvas they flew, in life they walked through some of the most devastating times in history. Daniel Jamieson’s The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk traces this young couple as they navigate the Pogroms, the Russian Revolution, and each other. Emma Rice’s production is drawn in a theatrical language as fluid as Chagall’s paintings, and woven throughout with music and dance inspired by Russian Jewish tradition. https://exeternorthcott.co.uk/calendar/the-flying-lovers-of-vitebsk/

Mark Steel: Every Little Thing's Gonna Be Alright (SOLD OUT)

This time last year, it seemed highly unlikely the UK would vote to leave the EU; we had a reasonable opposition to the Tory Government; Donald Trump was a buffoon who surely wasn’t going to beat Hilary Clinton and Mark was living the married suburban ideal, a year later it’s all gone to absolute shit! But don’t worry, as Mark thinks Every Little Thing’s Gonna Be Alright. https://www.exetercornexchange.co.uk

A Curious Turn presents automata from the leading makers of the last 40 years, ranging from the humorous to the macabre and from the playful to the satirical.
