Mid Devon student Sharon Birch has spoken of her joy at being award a coveted academic prize after her life changing return to education with an Access to Higher Education course.

In a new exhibition at the Devon Guild, local printmaker and artist Anita represents her journeying over 365 square miles of Dartmoor through various prints, painting and installations. Her dynamic artwork often created on-site, reflects the impact of the changing seasons on the wild Devon landscape.

A new business called Art and Energy is starting up in Exeter to help put the city at the forefront of new and exciting ideas for solar energy based art works. Renewable energy sites that are also art works could be developed over the next few years that really tell a different and relevant story across the city.
Art and Energy is being led by Exeter Pioneer, Chloe Uden. She sees and understands the potential for new pieces of solar photovoltaic art that will make electricity, and, at the same time, be beautiful or interesting installations with a story.
