Summer of Dance Program Encourages Kids to Stay Active

School holidays may be looming, but that doesn’t mean the learning stops. To help kids stay active throughout the summer, DanSci Dance Studio in Exeter will host a series of interactive dance programmes for kids aged from 18 months to 12 years

Can You Dance? - Exeter Intensive

The CYD? Exeter Intensive is your chance to train in depth with a member of the CYD? Faculty. The 2019 Intensives will be held over 2 days, with a multitude of dance classes in various styles. High level of buyer interest in The Point

The new apartments at The Point, on Exmouth’s seafront are generating high levels of interest from prospective buyers. Reservations have already been taken for two of the two- bedroom apartments overlooking the estuary.

A concert that explores the varied roles of the piano in performance. Our programme features the piano as the extravagant soloist and the submissive accompanist, heard live in the room, through a distorted cassette recorder and through a humble teapot. Art-lovers are lining up to be part of an exciting new project that sees Exeter and its people taking a starring role in a series of artworks.

The project – TOPOS – is taking over an empty city-centre office space and through its crowdfunding campaign offers the opportunity to be part of a living landscape – digital recreations of famous landscapes - or even to commission an original piece of art.

Working in a local authority cemeteries department inspired Devon author Kate Vane’s new novel, Not the End.

Kate said, “The job made me think about our attitudes to death, particularly when someone died without friends and family and the local authority had to take charge of the funeral arrangements. Often they weren’t poor, or a loner, as people think. They had just outlived everyone who was close to them.”

Contemporary artists wanted to explore printmaking

An opportunity has been created for contemporary artists to explore how printmaking can extend and evolve their practice.

Double Elephant Print Workshop (DEPW) is keen to reach out to contemporary artists and are particularly interested to encourage crossover between different practices.
