Free Power Tool Forensic Security Marking.

I recently carried out free power tool forensic security marking at Jewson, Sowton where i handed out approx 60 SelectaDNA marking kits to trades people.

I did say about doing a similar event in Marsh Barton so after speaking to management at Toolstation, they've agreed that i can hold an event there on Mon 5th Nov from 8.30am onwards.

The reason i'm doing this is after the high number of reports of power tools being stolen around Exeter and the surrounding areas. A lot of these tools are high value and cost the owners a lot of money to replace.

Fraud prevention efforts continue

Devon and Cornwall Police is supporting a fraud awareness campaign being launched across the region today.

The Home Office funded ‘Spot It, Stop It’ campaign aims to raise awareness of various scams people may fall prey to, particularly doorstep fraud and telephone and online scams.

There were 8,600 reports of fraud in Devon and Cornwall last year resulting in the loss of around £9 million.

Victims are usually aged between 61 and 90.
