InExeter, the Business Improvement District for Exeter City Centre have entered a new partnership to build a stronger city profile and celebrate and champion our city businesses. Together, InExeter and Visit Exeter plan to deliver destination marketing campaigns, putting Exeter front-of-mind for visitors, and residents.

This new partnership coincides with the appointment of Alice Evans as the Marketing and Communications Manager at InExeter who will be working closely with Visit Exeter to raise awareness of what Exeter offers, showcasing it as a growing and creative city....

With the number of people living with glaucoma in the UK expected to increase by almost a third between 2020 and 2035, Glaucoma UK is urging people to get their eyes tested.

As part of Glaucoma Awareness Week 2022, which will run from 27 June to 3 July, the charity is highlighting the importance of regular eye tests with the aim of ending preventable glaucoma sight loss.

Bloor Homes launches new Exeter region

On 1st July 2022 ‘Bloor Homes Exeter’ will officially launch as a new region for the company, creating new jobs and ensuring the continued delivery of its new, quality homes across the South West of England.

The company is currently investing £5m in a new regional headquarters located on Honiton Road, Exeter. Following nine years of major conservation work, the National Trust’s ambitious project to save Castle Drogo, one of the country’s most iconic buildings, is complete.

Castle Drogo is the last castle to have been built in Britain, between 1911 and 1931, by the renowned architect Edwin Lutyens. It was built for Julius Drewe, a food retailing magnate, whose dream was to create an imposing ancestral home situated on a granite outcrop overlooking Dartmoor that would appear to have existed for hundreds of years.

The search begins for Devon’s Best Young Landscape Artist 2022

Young artists aged 18 and under can now compete for the title of Devon’s Best Young Landscape Artist 2022. Devon CPRE, a South West branch of the countryside charity CPRE, held the competition for the first time last year and was impressed with the quality and quantity of entries from across the county.

The charity is inviting budding young artists to showcase their creativity by capturing Devon’s unique and precious landscapes in the medium of their choice. There are two entry categories - one for teenagers and one for younger children - with cash prizes for the winners....

The Co-operative Bank has given £200 to Kenyan Educational Sponsorship community group which is dedicated to helping young people in Kenya achieve their academic potential, enabling them to realise their ambitions and make the most of their lives. They are currently sponsoring three bright but extremely poor students Marcy, Alfred and Vivian.
