Budleigh residents can choose outdoor gym design

East Devon District Council has been working with Budleigh Salterton Town Council and healthcare professionals to provide Budleigh residents with the free-to-use outdoor gym that they want.

Now the partners would like Budleigh Salterton residents of all ages to decide how it should look by voting for the design they like best.

Radiance MediSpa hosted ‘A Radiant Christmas’ in aid of The Lady Taverners and Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) with complimentary taster sessions by therapists and stylists at their luxurious venue. BBC Radio Devon presenter Judi Spiers compered the evening with models showcasing the latest Steampunk clothing courtesy of Velveteen Clothes Emporium. The conference centre was transformed into a mini Christmas Fair with unusual and exciting gifts from local independent retailers and Casino Select hosted a roulette table raising further funds for the charities.

Road Traffic Collision at Countess Weir

Fire Services from Middlemoor and Topsham were called to Bridge Road in Countess Weir on Sunday following a three car collison.

The collision caused fuel spillage on both carriageways.

Crews from Middlemoor made the vehicles safe and Topsham crews were not required at the incident.

All vehicles were made safe and the scene was left in the hands of the Police.

Devon businesswomen win national awards

Three Devon winners of the county’s inaugural NatWest Venus Awards have triumphed in the national finals of the competition. Mariam Badavi, who runs Purity Spa in Exeter, won the Employer of The Year title. East Devon businesswomen Sarah Cressall, of The Creation Station, was named was named Entrepreneur of The Year and Cathy Debenham of YouGen, won the Green Business Award.

The trio were up against regional winners from all over the south of England.

Update: Alexandra Harris and Kieron Bryan have been granted bail- set at 2m rubles each

Before the judge Kieron Bryan said: "To be accused of hooliganism for doing my job as a reporter is the same as suggesting that every journalist who works in a warzone is a soldier or that the court reporter here today is somehow responsible for the outcome."

Also bailed was the Arctic Sunrise captain Peter Willcox.

Ricky Pellow says Exeter Chiefs will look to attack from the outset when they face rivals Bath in Sunday's LV= Cup battle at the Recreation Ground (1pm).

A 19-5 win over holders Harlequins - courtesy of a Sireli Naqelevuki try and 14 points from the boot of Ceri Sweeney - gave the Chiefs the ideal start to their domestic cup campaign at Sandy Park a week ago.

Devon's X Factor hopeful Luke Friend appears to be currying favour with one of the judge's biggest fans. The 17-year-old tweeted a picture of himself with Kelly Osbourne, daughter of Sharon, before tonight's show (above).
