A major event organised by 307 Squadron Project will be taking place at Exeter’s Guildhall between 13-15 November 2023, to remember the Polish 307 Squadron. This night-fighter squadron was part of the RAF, who defended the South West of England during WW2. It prevented Exeter from being totally destroyed during the blitz on the city in 1942. Protests over Heavitree roadblocks

Noisy protesters outside Exeter’s historic Guildhall left city councillors in no doubt that feelings are still running high over roadblocks stopping traffic getting through Heavitree.

The roads have been blocked since August in a Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) trial designed to cut down on pollution and make the streets safer for pedestrians.
