Doctors lose their trousers for ELF

Doctors in Cullompton hope their colleague's hospital stay will be a short one and have pledged to raise money for charity in his absence.

Dr Neil Rushton and Dr James Rowbury, who practice at College Surgery, have opted against wearing trousers until Dr Jeremy Jacobs has completed treatment at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital – which could be after winter.

Crediton shop makeover hasn't cost a penny!

Exeter Leukaemia Fund have taken a leaf out of well-known TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp’s book and refreshed the ELF shop in Crediton without spending a single penny! Local Business Network supports local charity

A group of local business people have been adding a new dimension to breakfast to raise much needed funds for Exeter Leukaemia Fund. The Honiton group of 4Networking used their fun fines system to fill an ELF collection box. Crediton woman knits 400 ducks for ELF

When Crediton volunteer, Lynne Cooper knitted her first duck for Exeter Leukaemia Fund back in March 2012, she had no idea that her creation would go on to be a global adventurer and that she would knit 400 more! Lynne, who has supported ELF for several years, is also a very talented painter as well as a creative knitter. City Centre restaurant caters to Exeter's new growth

A local restaurateur is making a major investment to meet the discerning Exeter market. City centre-based Lloyd’s Café and Bistro is re-branding and undergoing a dramatic and high-end refurbishment to create a London-feel restaurant.

Exeter Leukaemia Fund to support North Devon District Hospital Chemotherapy Appeal

Exeter Leukaemia Fund is delighted to announce that the charity has agreed to significantly support the North Devon District Hospital Chemotherapy Appeal. The charity has pledged £50,000 towards the appeal and will be used specifically to fund one of the four dedicated haematology consulting rooms. In addition, the charity is working in partnership with the hospital with a view to fund specialist haematology equipment for the new building. Thousands will be helped by ELF Community Support Programme

Earlier in the year, the ELF Community Support Programme was launched to help the wider community who have been diagnosed of leukaemia and other blood disorders, who have been referred to the RD&E Hospital.

Three distinct services of accommodation, transport and advice are now fully operational and will help thousands of patients and loved ones every year. All these services are FREE to the patient and loved one, although donations are welcomed.

Exeter Leukaemia Fund would love to hear from anyone, whether new to ELF, current or previous supporters, who are interested in helping to form or be part of a new supporter group in Crediton and the surrounding areas. Best friends and colleagues, Karen King & Clare Aldrich, faced their fears to experience the exhilaration of a tandem Skydive and raise over £1,380 for Exeter Leukaemia Fund!
