Appeal for Exeter families to host Italian students

International Study Programmes is looking for a few more host families for Italian students arriving on 16 July.

The group is from Como (one of the beautiful lakes of northern Italy).

They are looking forward to spending two weeks studying English in Exeter with a full programme of activities and excursions including Dartmoor, Dartmouth, Torquay, Tintagel and Bath.

ISP’s local organiser, Rosemary Mason, would be delighted to hear from any Exeter residents who have a spare bedroom available from 16-30 July and would like to welcome one or two Italian students aged 15...

Last chance to help Argos raise £2m for Barnardo’s

Local families and children have just a few more days to donate their pre-loved toys to the Argos Toy Exchange in support of children’s charity Barnardo’s, which ends on 25th November.

The Argos Toy Exchange, a fundraising initiative which kicked off in October, encourages parents and children across the county to donate unwanted toys to their local Argos or Barnardo’s store, and in return they will receive a £5.00 gift voucher to redeem when they spend £35 or more on toys at Argos up until Christmas Eve. ‘Theatre Rush’ an Exeter based drama company, are close to finding the funding their latest project designed to bring storytelling to the city’s streets.
