Ludo Sports Bar & Kitchen to open in Exeter

Ludo Sports Bar & Kitchen – one of the UK's leading premium sports bar brands – has secured £6m of new funding from HSBC UK to grow its portfolio by five additional sites, with the first of these set to open in November, in the Guildhall Shopping Centre in Exeter. It will become the second Ludo location in the South West, following the opening of Ludo, Bath in May 2023.

Families invited to join are countdown to Christmas trail in Exeter

As part of Exeter's vibrant Christmas celebrations, InExeter is delighted to offer families a fun, free, and festive adventure around the city with the launch of the Countdown to Christmas Trail . Running now until December 27, the trail invites families to explore Exeter and uncover clues at nine locations, each revealing a letter that forms a special Christmas word.

Green-fingered youngsters help plant micro-forest in school grounds

Children and teachers from a primary school in Exeter have done their bit for the environment by planting a 400-tree micro-forest in their school grounds.

The youngsters from Monkerton Community Primary School were joined by local councillors from Exeter City Council and Devon County Council for the event, which was organised by Community Interest Company SocieTree.

SocieTree was launched in 2023 and aims to highlight the benefits that micro forests bring. It has been working closely with schools across Devon.

Cranbrook Education Campus, (CEC) part of the Ted Wragg Trust , has welcomed a new therapy dog this term.

Her in-school training commenced with visits during the summer holidays to familiarise herself with the environment followed by some shorter sessions meeting staff and finally in the final week of the last half-term, 'Meet Aurora' sessions with each individual class.

Devon & Cornwall Police has joined forces with staff at Devon Highways to put their best foot forward and send festive shoeboxes full of useful items to places where they will make a real difference.

Link to Hope is a registered charity, who have been sending shoeboxes at Christmas time since 1992. Boxes filled with goodies and donated to the appeal will go to the poorest people in Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria and Romania.
