Top 10 McDonald’s Products That Failed

#1 McLobster

A take-off on the lobster roll, this sandwich was basically lobster meat on a hot dog bun, together with some lettuce and “McLobster sauce.” Every once in awhile, this product reappears in outlets across the country, only to disappear again. One problem with the McLobster is the price, as it costs more than most McDonald’s patrons want to pay. Another problem is that people don’t connect the upscale image of lobster with fast food.

#2 McGratin Croquette

This product was created especially for the market in Japan, where it was called Gurakoro. It’s an...

8 Best Foods You Aren’t Eating

As much as we try to eat healthy, there are still a lot of foods that we simply overlook. However, knowing about just a few of them can make your life incredibly healthier. That is why we have decided to show you the 8 best foods you probably aren’t eating.

#1 - Kale

Fortunately, kale is becoming more popular these days. However, a lot of people still refuse to try a dish that includes this vegetable and would rather eat spinach when they are thinking of which green veggie to eat. Now, don’t get us wrong, spinach is an excellent source of iron and vitamins, but did you know...

A Devon conservation charity is challenging people in the city to face the future – by eating insects!

Paignton Zoo is running a bug eating challenge in Princesshay, Exeter tomorrow (4 July) between 11am and 3pm.

Paignton Zoo’s Hayley Gibson said: “People can try bugs including mealworms, locusts, crickets and weaver ants. Anyone who eats one will get a sticker and a certificate!”

But the challenge comes with a serious message. Hayley: “The global population could reach 8 billion by 2025 - current food production techniques are simply not sufficient. We need to feed...

Restaurant review: Byron

Stating they serve hamburgers "as they should be", Byron had a lot to live up to when a colleague and I visted the newly-opened Exeter branch.

We visted Byron on a sunny weekday and it appeared the people of Exeter had defintely heard of the burger joint’s good reputation, with tables full both inside and out. Byron has been in Exeter for less than two weeks, and is the first to open in the South West. There are over 30 Byron restaurants throughout the UK.

The restaurant was created after it’s founder Tom Byng fell in love with the simple burgers he consumed whilst dining...

7 Foods That Will Calm You

#1 - Avocados

Avocados are healthy for you in many ways, as they are an exceptional source of healthy fat. However, these fruits can also be the key for your calmness. Avocados are known for containing a lot more folate than other fruits, as well as their richness in glutathione, which is a substance with the ability to block intestinal absorption of certain fats that cause oxidative damage. So, the next time you prepare a salad, or a sandwich, be sure to add some avocado!

#2 - Berries

If you consume berries on a regular basis, you will see things much clearer....

Our daily bread - but maybe not tomorrow?

I am not normally alarmist, but increasingly find myself very concerned that our global food systems are under exceptional pressures. We might even say four frightening horse riders stalk our world at this time…

The first is called ‘Global Warming’.

A few months ago ASDA announced that it may not be able to guarantee supply of 95% of the foodstuffs it now sells in twelve months time. Most of the fresh produce sold in their shops is already at risk from climate change. The company’s director for sustainable business suggested that it is imperative that supermarkets start to...
