National singing competition Open Mic UK have just released their 2014 audition dates, and are calling all singers, singer-songwriters, vocal groups, rappers and solo artists to get involved!
Over 9,000 people entered last year, and with a seventeen-date audition tour set in place for 2014 including Exeter singing auditions, Open Mic UK is set to be even bigger this year! Open Mic UK is visiting Exeter Corn Exchange for the Exeter singing auditions on Saturday 27th September.

Following the success of local “Teign-star” Luke Friend, winner of the national TeenStar Competition 2013 and finalist in last year’s X Factor, the TeenStar Competition 2014 has decided to start their new search in Exeter.
Initially hosting auditions on 8 February, Teen Star have unearthed more new local talent and the successful performers will compete at the SouthWest Regional Final live show at the Corn Exchange Venue on the afternoon of Saturday 30 March 2014.

Charlotte, 15, performed one of her original songs, Lies, taken from her first EP “Can I get a word in?” at the area heats in Fareham to win her place in the Open Mic UK Final at the NEC Birmingham in January. “I can’t believe it! Hundreds of people turned out in Market Harborough, Leicestershire on Saturday at a charity gig to raise funds for Jack Rigby, the son of murdered soldier Lee Rigby. Despite freezing temperatures, large crowds donated to watch acts including X Factor's Giles Potter, Britain's Got Talent's Michael Collings and headliners Remedy Sounds and Dretonio.
