This transaction takes the automotive sector commitment to the Business Park, over a two year period, to 21 acres from a total of 27 acres and follows deals for new dealerships for VW, Lexus, Toyota, Audi and Jaguar Landrover.

Vospers will submit a planning application for a new FordStore, one of just 60 flagship showrooms in the UK, showcasing the latest collection of exclusive Ford models such as...

An application for a new Park and Ride site serving Exeter is due to be submitted next week (w/c 8 February).

The proposed 556-space “Round Field” Park and Ride facility, next to the A30 slip road on the south west outskirts of the city, will go before the County Council's Development Management Committee later in the year – with April being the earliest it would be considered.

The scheme will provide increased choices for people travelling into Exeter city centre from the south and west of the city, and is expected to reduce pressure on the Alphington Road corridor and...

Exeter Green Party is urging councillors to reject outline planning permission for the redevelopment of the bus station site, saying the plans are a bad deal for Exeter.

Councillors are due to decide whether to grant outline planning permission at an extraordinary council meeting on Wednesday (20 January).

Greens are demanding that any deal must include a developer contribution towards a new bus and coach station. It was recently revealed that the current developer, The Crown Estate, has pulled out of funding a new public transport hub for the city. Greens also say that the...

The latest version of the document includes a number of new brownfield housing sites located within the urban area. These new sites...

Judge rejects Home Farm challenge

Exeter City Council has said it is disappointed with a High Court decision to allow a housing development to go ahead at Home Farm in Pinhoe.

Following a hearing on 8 June, a High Court judge dismissed the City Council's application to overturn a planning inspector's decision to allow an outline planning application for 120 homes at Home Farm on Church Hill, Pinhoe.

The City Council refused the application in January 2014 but following an appeal from the developer the case went to a public inquiry in September the same year, which ruled that the development could go ahead...

The future of a population of one of northern Europe’s most threatened wildlife species will be the focus of a High Court action in Bristol on Friday 12 June. The court granted permission for the claim to proceed in April 2014.

The charity Devon Wildlife Trust is bringing the Judicial Review against a planning decision made by Teignbridge District Council to grant permission for up to 230 houses to be built on land which lies just 170 metres from an internationally important site where female greater horseshoe bats congregate to give birth and raise their young. East Devon District Council is organising a neighbourhood planning referendum in Lympstone to invite residents to approve a draft planning blueprint for the village.

Lympstone is one of only a handful of parishes, across England, to have got this far in creating their own Neighbourhood Plan, under new national planning guidelines.

The neighbourhood plan will give the village and planning officers from the district a benchmark with which to consider any future planning applications for the area.

National interest in the proposal was underlined this week when Brandon...
