Devon and Cornwall Police has today pledged its ongoing commitment to tackling violence against women and girls after the publication of the first national NPCC report into police performance.
As a strategic priority for the Force, a range of measures have been put in place across Devon and Cornwall to tackle the issue. These measures focus on the key pillars within the national violence against women and girls framework - building trust and confidence in communities; relentless perpetrator pursuit and safer spaces for women and girls.
Police have created a Major Incident Public Reporting (MIPP) page as part of the investigation into the murder of a 74-year-old woman in Ludwell Valley Park in Exeter on Saturday 18 February.

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a cyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Exeter on Friday 11 November.
The incident happened in Longbrook Street at around 1.15pm.
It involved a white-coloured car and a male riding a grey pedal cycle.
The cyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth where his condition remains critical.
