Special ‘turn up and play’ sessions have been organised on courts at Cowick Barton Playing Fields, with free tuition from a qualified coach thrown in for good measure. Live outdoor screenings of Wimbledon matches on a giant screen will take place in Princesshay Square for the duration of the legendary two-week tournament (Monday 2nd July – Sunday 15th July).
Princesshay will also provide deckchairs, bean bags and a temporary lawn for visitors to enjoy while watching the matches free of charge.
Summer games, including giant jenga, noughts and crosses and connect 4 will be set up daily for families to enjoy. Visitors can sit and enjoy prime court matches from 1pm, with the finals days starting at 2pm.

Just in time for the Wimbledon Championships, Exeter Golf and Country Club have announced they will invest £100,000 in new tennis courts.
The club, who first installed tennis courts in the 1930s will close four of the six courts at the end of September so the work can be completed outside the main tennis season.
