Cygnet Theatre is thrilled to be taking part in the 2022 scholarship scheme organised by national industry newspaper The Stage.
The Stage Scholarships scheme has now been running for more than 30 years, but this is only the second time Cygnet Theatre has partnered with them to offer this fantastic opportunity to potential students. After a huge number of entries in 2021, we have decided to open the scholarship up to two potential students for a 50% scholarship, worth £3,750 each.

The course will explore voice, scene work, character development, movement and improvisation leading to an informal showing of work in progress on the final afternoon.
This is an introduction to the types of work undertaken in vocational training. There will be an opportunity to audition for the Cygnet Company to anyone interested.
The course will take place between the dates of: Monday 4th August – Friday 8th August

Newton Abbot writer/director, Luke Jeffery, 22, has been commissioned to make his film Seeing Red by Exeter Phoenix as part of their Devon Short Film Commission scheme, and is currently auditioning actors and crew.
