A second round of consultation has been launched on changes to streets in the Heavitree and Whipton areas of Exeter.
More than 570 people took part in the initial consultation last year. Exeter based, independent veterinary practice CityVets, are reassuring all pet owners that they are open for emergencies, patients requiring urgent treatment, medication and pet food throughout the pandemic, come what may.
CityVets has four practices in Exeter, however, at this time two of the branches - the Alphington and Whipton practices have been temporarily closed. Overnight resurfacing work will be carried out on Heavitree Road in Exeter over the next two weeks.
Sections of the road will be closed from 7pm to 7am on Wednesday (2 August), Thursday (3 August) and Friday (4 August). Hospiscare’s latest shop opened in Heavitree in March and is already doing a roaring trade in a range of electrical goods, homeware, clothes, and second-hand books.

The people of Heavitree have a new shopping opportunity available to them: a brand-new shop has been opened there by the long established and popular local charity, Hospiscare. The shop was formally opened on Wednesday March 22nd by Paula Lawford, Chair of Exeter Friends, former trustee and founder member of the charity. Improvements have been carried out to an area in Exeter’s Higher Cemetery.
The ashes section next door to the World War II areas of the cemetery in Heavitree was prone to becoming a muddy patch of grass during wet weather but now the area has been smartened up and made better for visitors.
