Stagecoach South West introduces timetable changes

This Autumn local bus operator Stagecoach South West are introducing changes to some bus services within the region.

The changes, largely from Sunday 3rd November 2024, include some reliability and punctuality improvements as well as new tendered services in partnership with Devon County Council. Night buses also return in North Devon and Torbay for the festive period from the end of November.

In Torbay temporary timetables are introduced during the next phase of redevelopment works around Torquay Harbourside.

Council Leader: now is the time to take back control of our bus services

Exeter City Council Leader Phil Bialyk has called on Devon County Council to use proposed new powers to transform bus services in the city.

Cllr Bialyk, a former bus driver, is calling on the transport authority to use new powers unveiled by the Transport Secretary to bring bus services in house.

Cllr Bialyk said he had been inundated with requests from communities in the city for a better and more reliable service.

Stagecoach introduces timetable changes across Exeter and surrounding areas

This September local bus operator Stagecoach South West are introducing a number of changes with some improvements to bus services within Exeter.

From Sunday 1 September 2024 a new Exeter City network is launched with the company investing in additional buses and drivers to provide an increase in the frequency on a number of services, as well as the introduction of more co-ordinated timetables across the City.

This May local bus operator Stagecoach South West are introducing some changes to timetables across their regional bus network.

As we move into the Summer, some areas across Devon will see timetables benefit from enhancements to better reflect the seasonal demand.

In partnership with Plymouth City Council and thanks to BSIP+ funding Service 2 will see the frequency of buses increased across the week.

Some timetables will also see intermediate running times revised on all days of operation to improve reliability and punctuality.

Devon awarded £5.3 million for zero emission buses

A fleet of 41 electric buses are set to take to Devon’s roads in Exeter, North Devon and Torridge. A successful joint bid by Devon County Council and Stagecoach has secured £5.3 million from the second round of the Department for Transport’s Zero Emission Bus Regional Areas (ZEBRA) scheme. Stagecoach SW announce timetable changes across Devon

From Sunday 28th May we are introducing a number of new timetables across our network, focused primarily on the Torbay area, which are predominantly centred around improving the punctuality of our bus services, and a number of new exciting enhancements to our services.

Stagecoach SW and Devon County Council partner to operate bus journeys from Exeter to Okehampton, Chulmleigh and Barnstaple

The current operator of Services 315, 345 and 377 linking Exeter with Barnstaple, Okehampton and Chumleigh, has notified Devon County Council that they no longer wish to operate these services. Working in partnership with Devon County Council, Stagecoach South West will provide replacement services, which will start from Monday 5 June 2023.

Service 315 will be replaced by Service 5B, which will provide up to four journeys per day Monday to Saturday between Exeter and Barnstaple via Crediton, Winkleigh, Great Torrington and Bideford.

From Sunday 2nd April local bus operator Stagecoach South West will be introducing a number of timetable changes across their network, which are predominantly centred around improving the punctuality of their bus services.

Stagecoach, the country’s biggest bus and coach operator, has launched the search for a team of new graduates to join its UK-wide business from September.

Applications have opened for ten people to join its two-year extensive graduate training programme. Exeter bus passengers treated to live carols and a visit from Santa

On Wednesday 14th December, passengers travelling through Exeter City Centre’s Bus Station were treated to a live Carol Concert as part of the Stagecoach South West ‘It’s Christmas’ event.
