On Thursday 3 April, Devon-based law firm Gilbert Stephens LLP will once again play host to the Great Devon Breakfast in aid of local cancer charity, FORCE.
The Great Devon Breakfast last year raised £10,000 across 17 different venues and the event, supported by Gilbert Stephens LLP, will be held at St Olaves Hotel located on Mary Arches Street, Exeter, at 8am. Breakfast costs just £8 and includes a full English with tea or coffee and organisers hope it will help raise around £500 for the local charity.

With spring finally pushing through the last remnants of winter, St Paul’s Church in Honiton is set to play host to a Spring Violin Recital on Wednesday 19 March at 7.30pm.
The event, sponsored by Gilbert Stephens Solicitors, will feature Devon violinist Marie Langrishe. Marie is 19 and lives near Honiton. She started learning the violin aged 7, and continued musical studies whilst studying at Maynard School in Exeter, where she led both the school orchestras and the school quartet for a number of years.

Staff members from FORCE Cancer Charity and Exeter Family Friendly came together on Tuesday to toast a hugely successful 12 months, during which Exeter Family has raised £5,500 for their chosen charity of the year.
Exeter Family, who recently won the Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the Exeter Business Awards, raised the majority of the money through staff taking part in daring and dedicated activities, including the Rock Solid Race; a gruelling 5 and 10km obstacle race, a sponsored walk, 100 mile bike ride and supermarket collections.
Organisers of the fourth Force/Francis Clark 10k Race at Powderham Castle have called for more runners to sign up for the annual event in a bid to break previous entry records and boost fundraising.
The event has grown considerably since the first race in 2010 and now features a 5k run and a 2k family run as well as 5k & 10k mountain bike rides around one of the most picturesque routes any runner or rider could wish for, taking in the Castle, the Exe Estuary, extensive woodland and the deer park.

Members of Devon law firm, Gilbert Stephens LLP, are taking to the saddle for FORCE’s Century Cycle Challenge, which takes place on Sunday 30 June from Topsham Rugby Club.
The event offers either a 55- or 100-mile cycle from Topsham Rugby Club to Tiverton. The 100-mile ride heads up to Dulverton and over the top of Exmoor, down to South Molton and then meets up with the 55-mile cyclists. Participants then head across country to Morchard Road and back to Topsham via Crediton.

More than 70 local businesses and professionals were welcomed with wine and canapés at a networking event organised by Chartered Accountants Haines Watts in aid of FORCE Cancer Charity at Sapphire Living Space.
Guests enjoyed complimentary hand massages with Molton Brown and watched cookery demonstrations by Chef Nick Crosley from V-Zug of Switzerland. Sarah Daniels of FORCE gave a presentation and a charity raffle and lively auction with Chris Bentley of Exeter Chiefs raised over £1,600 for the charity.

Gary will be auctioning many fantastic items - donated by celebrities and sports clubs. The auction goes live on 15 April and will run for seven days, ending on 22 April.
