A campaign, specifically to find families for local children who have been waiting the longest to be adopted, is launching across the south west this month.
Family for Me (FFM), which is part of south west adoption agency Families for Children, hopes to find parents for these children as soon as possible. Their wait may have been because they are older, part of a sibling group, have specialist needs, or are of mixed heritage.

On Thursday 10 October a charity dinner, organised by The John Casson Foundation, took place in aid of South West adoption agency Families for Children. 70 guests attended the sell-out event at Gidleigh Park, generously sponsored by wealth Management Company Brewin Dolphin Exeter and independent wine merchant Private Cellar raising £23,000 for the charity.

Ahead of Mark Tyler's head shave for his adoption charity, Families for Children, fellow Patron Caroline Quentin offered to chop off the first lock!
Mark will be losing his hair this coming Friday 4 October, at 1pm in Princesshay.

Crealy Great Adventure Parks are celebrating their continued support of Families for Children with a visit from famed author David Lawrence Jones. Families from the charity were invited to come along to Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure to enjoy a day out and to meet the charity's new patron.

David is a handsome baby with a nice shaped head and ears, fair skin and very dark eyes. He is a good and easy baby” is how Families for Children Patron Mark Tyler was described to his prospective adoptive parents. 50 years later Mark is about to celebrate his half-century by having his head shaved in aid of the charity. “I want to see if that nice shaped head is still there!” said Mark.
